World’s Smallest Deer Born In NYC Is Easily The Cutest Thing On Four Legs

If you enjoy pouring over pictures of adorable little animals (yes we know you all do), then this is a story that will have you purring with pleasure.

Check out his adorable little pudu, the world’s smallest species of deer, that was born less than a month ago at Queens Zoo in New York City. The third on display at the zoo, his unthinkable cuteness has sent people across the globe loco.

The male fawn was born on 12th May and only weighed in at around one pound, according to Barbara Russo of the Wildlife Conversation Society. Adults pudus grow to about 12 to 14 inches at the shoulder, so this little chap still has some time to get a bit bigger. Sadly his lovely white spots will fade with age, as they are only a characteristic of juvenile pudus.
