Japan is attempting to create the world’s wackiest robotic hotel

Cutting down on labor costs is one thing, but having your hotel 90% employed by robots is quite another. That’s what Japan is trying to do with Henn-na Hotel, which roughly translates to ‘Strange Hotel’ in English. Opening yesterday in Sasebo, Japan, the new facility is part of an amusement park and serves as an amusement, or a fear, all on its own. Hotel owner Hideo Sawada says the use of robots is not a gimmick, but an effort to achieve efficiency while utilizing technology.
